Richard Terrell

Richard Terrell (a.k.a KirbyKid) is an eclectic designer. His study as a writer, musician, visual artist, and engineer gives Terrell the ability to innovate in multiple disciplines. Terrell currently works as a designer for Retro Studios of Nintendo, his favorite gaming company since childhood. He invents products and methodologies to solve deep, long-running, human-centered problems of our increasingly technological existence.

Terrell consulted for leyline Inc. as a product and UI/UX designer. He previously worked at Brass Lion Entertainment and Gunfire Games as a combat designer. He is a co-developer of BaraBariBall, a fighting-sports hybrid found in Sportsfriends. Terrell is the sole developer of enLIGHTen: Learn the Art of Learning, a game that combines his biggest passions (games + learning). His experience in QA, writing, competing, consulting, and game design gives him a deep understanding of the games industry.
