FaceArt Precollege: Where Talent Meets Trajectory
A Weekend Program for the Seriously Committed Young Musician
The gap between talent and trajectory is not bridged by lessons alone. It requires a system—a structured, immersive environment where technique meets theory, where the solitary hours of practice find their purpose in ensemble, and where the young musician is prepared not for the next exam, but for the world stage.
FaceArt Precollege is that system.
The Architecture
Designed for the dedicated young musician (piano, violin, cello, voice, composition), our weekend program transforms the traditional conservatory model into a sustainable, integrated curriculum that respects the demands of modern family life while demanding nothing less than professional-level commitment.
One Sunday per week. Two semesters per year. A complete musical education.
The Core Curriculum
| Component | Format | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Major Study | 1-on-1 (offline or online) | Primary instrument or composition, taught by FaceArt’s distinguished faculty |
| Minor Study | 1-on-1 (offline or online) | Secondary instrument or complementary discipline |
| Music Theory | Group class | The grammar of music — from fundamentals to advanced analysis |
| Chamber Music | Group coaching | Ensemble skills, collaboration, listening |
| Performance Class | Group seminar | Stage presence, interpretation, peer feedback |
| Masterclasses & Lectures | Group sessions | Guest artists, career preparation, musical humanities |
Each component reinforces the others. The theory learned in the morning illuminates the chamber music of the afternoon. The minor study deepens the major. The performance class transforms private preparation into public art.
The Faculty
The program is co-directed by:
Piotr Tomasz Szczepanik — Polish pianist, Juilliard alumnus, co-founder of FaceArt, founder of Swiatowid Media Group, creator of the landmark “All of Chopin” project.
James Brawn — Acclaimed British pianist, Steinway Artist, recording artist for MSR Classics, with decades of international concert and teaching experience.
Together, they lead a faculty of FaceArt’s core teachers and a roster of visiting artists and pedagogues from the world’s leading conservatories — offering students not only training but connections, not only skills but perspective.
The Format
Duration: Two semesters per academic year

- Musical intelligence through theory, analysis, and history

- Professional readiness through exams, assessments, and performance practice
